We have used many top brand names over the years but find that we needed to add suppliments and meat, Until we found our current supplier. We started 4 years ago with our own brand food and found after 6 months it let us down.
Then 3.5 years ago we were on holidays in the UK and went to see some plants that make branded foods for top companies and hit it off straight away with them. The fact that they use Human Grade meat is an extra bonus for us. And Schaferhund was born. The rest as we say speaks for it self. We changed food and never looked back. Any body that see's our dogs remark on there condition. Which is based on the food you see below.
Schaferhund Feeding Instructions
Schaferhund dog feeds have been produced to very high nutritional standards, and will stand feeding comparison with many, more widely advertised, and so called equivalent ‘Premium’ products. The daily amount fed to an individual dog will vary according to breed, size, age, activity levels, metabolism, and living conditions.
Colder conditions will result in the dog requiring a higher food input, to be converted into ‘heat’ energy. Always feed more than the normal daily input, during and following periods of increased working activities. The best guides are your hands and eyes! The following chart is therefore for guidance only, and will probably slightly overstate the required daily ration.

Premium Puppy Food/wheat Gluten Free
This Puppy food has been made from a High Quality Meat Content with human grade chicken min 35%,which is suitable for puppies from weaning to adulthood and also for dogs in extremely hard working conditions who require lots of energy. This quality feed may also be fed to pregnant and lactating bitches.
Ingredients:
Wheat Gluten Free, No soya (protein filler) No artificial additives at all, No GM Cereals,
Naturally Preserved, Added Inulin to aid healthy digestion
In addition, as this food is high in protein and oil, it is a good choice for Adult dogs or dogs who require lots of energy i.e. extremely hard worked dogs.
